LEOPA GUYS,
Sorry to tag this into this thread but it looked like a good place to ask are you still getting email from Scott??? I have not received any in a while!!! I might have been knocked off the list just checking.

kaama82 11-11-2002 12:17 PM

Scott, I kinda thought the same thing, seems things might just be a little slow now.

MIdnightRider 11-11-2002 02:45 PM

Saber Kid???

Saber-> Apache -> Cigarette -> Saber?? I guess once you owned Big Daddy there isn't much place to go but smaller. Now we will just need to trade vehicles to keep things in proportion. You might be able to throw a hitch on the Shadow to get thing around.:D Midnight:cool:

BuzzinBye! 11-11-2002 09:01 PM

Man its been awile sine i have been on the board. Jerry and Todd I like the floating nursury idea with Hooter's girl baysitters!!!!!!!! I don't think I can get the the board to buy into funding it though!

Anyone looking for a twin engine 28 Saber needs to check mine out! Yes it is the one that was in Powerboat mag and won the award in 94.

Gotta go ladies and gentleman!!!

PS Jay, BUY MY BOAT!

LEOPAJM 11-12-2002 12:00 PM

Dude ...... absolutely !!!!! Man 650-700 is right @ the serious "pucker factor" in a 28 !!!!!

Plus that .... you are talking .... MINIMAL reliability/longevity there !!!!

Keep us posted ....... JM

MIdnightRider 11-12-2002 02:32 PM

Besides the fact you have no experience running over 75mph with all of those sleds you've owned.:D I agree with LEO, put in a pair of 540's at 625-700 and call it good. Midnight:cool:

Apache Kid

Apache Kid,

I had to dig through alot of Box's to find
these baby's again. Anyway's one has the the
negative info on it incase you care to order
any.

1991
Freeze Frame Photo
Negative # 11231

I would think that would get you near alot
of photos of WaveHippie.

Good Luck
Cougarman

LEOPAJM 11-13-2002 07:30 AM

Timucin..........

I was hoping someone else would have chimed in here by now as I'm not one to toot my own horn soto speak, but the 41 Banshee is simple put ..... a Bad Ass, wave crushing SOB!!!! It is essentially a cored 41 Apache made to order in Michigan as opposed to Fla. There are others here that may want to add to this or detract fromit , but thats it in a "nut shell"

You have mentioned that you have been in contact with Saber in the past .... are you interested in possibly purchasing one of these fine boats ????

JM

LEOPAJM 11-13-2002 10:12 AM

Apache Kid..... clean out your PM box!!!!!!!!

Apache kid 11-13-2002 10:13 AM

The Baddest 28 Ever ?

1 Attachment(s)
Hey, lets not forget "No Excuses " Pair of 615CI / 650HP with
#5 drives, no weak links, hull, driveline, ect., this boat was an absolute hammer. A " little " tail heavy but the performance and acceleration were awesome , I broke alot of my friends, but never hurt the boat, it was definitely one of the baddest 28ft offshore boats ever built. JD

BTW: No 28ft offshore V boat should be capable of 100mph, eventually your gonna use it at the wrong time ,with that in mind we parted the boat out to protect the innocent.:D :D

timucin 11-13-2002 02:27 PM

LEOPAJM: more then thinking i actually decide to buy one.cool people ,legend mold, nice prices...

but you know the current situation in our area for the moment (iraq-war etc)...i have to wait and see..

cougarman 11-13-2002 02:59 PM

Baddest 28

WickedOne,

I'm Laughing my A** off, that thing
had to be a riot.

Who built the power for that one?

Are you still going to try and test
WickedOne or is that Off until Spring?

I would like to see some more Photo's
of No Excuses if you have more.:D :D :D

Moe Pics for C Man & BGIII

1 Attachment(s)
Guys, I really don't have many pictures of the boat after it was completed,( tons during construction ) BGIII, I haven't seen the boat in years, however I can tell you I monitored it's construction, the boys did an excellent job laying it up. Remember it's got a small cockpit ( tranny's ) and a slightly raised engine cover. JD

Another cold gray day of testing in Michigan, lousy picture on a lousy day. Wow, I'm gettin ready to do this again with the big boat, will I never learn ! Anyway, the boat is running just under 100mph here, ever seen that much water coming off the back of 28 footer ? This thing was BADDDD!! JD

LEOPAJM 11-14-2002 08:07 AM

All I know is that none of his friends would go for more than one ride in that boat !!!!

OUCH !!!!!!!

LEOPAJM 11-14-2002 09:41 AM

Timucin.... Are you going to have the boys build you a new one or are you going to pick up one of the existing boats floating around out there ?????

JM

timucin 11-14-2002 02:38 PM

Leo: we have talked about the new ones .reason is i am gonna get a blank boat and remove all my stuff from my current boat to new one.
i dont have chances like you guys in states ; when i get a boat ,there is no possibility to change, trade or to sell.it will be mine as long as it stays on water.we dont have to much boat-buyers here..

ps:the only darkpoint in my saber deal is 'steps'..would be better with them.lots of advantages...?!?

LEOPAJM 11-14-2002 03:25 PM

Steps, we dont need no stinkin steps ..... just add more thunder!!

Good luck !

JM

ssherman 11-14-2002 04:59 PM

wiked one how are those t-shirts coming? ( I ma suppose to get the final art work for mine this wekend.)

WickedWon 11-15-2002 06:55 AM

Cougarman, Dan Oaks built the motors, best of everything and they worked. He's out of the business and owes ME money!

Leopajm, there is more than a little truth to that statement, even though the boat had little or no chine walk and was suprisingly stable the most hardcore guys would be spooked, I always ran it on the edge, pure adrenaline.

SSHERMAN, the screen printing company literally went out of business after burning my new screens ( and deposit ). The new company is to have my sample print to me today, yea right.

SIX DAYS TO KEY WEST WOOOHOOO!!!! JD

kaama82 11-15-2002 07:29 AM

Hey JD, Thats the first time I've seen the 28. That thing looks like it would of been a blast. You guys have fun in Key West, I'm out this year:( We'll be back next year.

Apache kid 11-15-2002 01:40 PM

I am going to pick up my new Saber 28 right now. I have a nice 1600 mile round trip ahead of me. I will see you all in the AM on Monday.

SEE YA! Apache Kid
