Well in my list of 28's I seem to have forgotten the Saber.
I saw a yellow one on a poker run I was in several years ago and thought it was a great looking boat. Are there any with a single BB in it?

LEOPAJM 11-06-2002 12:22 PM

They made a few single engine 28's and they ran out pretty good... most were twins..... but give them a call and see what they can round up for ya.

Saber

The yellow saber you spoke of is a 94 cyclone special edition with HP500 and its for sale at www.H20Performance.com for 55K out of Ohio.

BGIII 11-06-2002 08:19 PM

WickedWon's old 28 is also for sale. It is located in Whitehall north of Muskegon. No power, no drive, no hole in transom. Not sure if you could rig that for single or not (originally big power twins w/ #5's). Jim G. @ Saber has the guys number. Set up very well and almost brand new but pretty expensive for a boat w/ out power.

Nice boat, Saber! They've got great lines.

I saw the 41 at SOTW and it is SWEET!

How many 34's were built?

Intolerant1 11-07-2002 12:21 AM

Saber28, is that the one I see in South Haven alot ? I just remember flames...which are always good.

SABER28 11-07-2002 07:24 AM

Hey 28,

Thanks for the post of my boat pic, almost forgot what it looks like:( ..... gonna be a long winter. We're getting ready to haul it up to Saber here soon to get it's annual winter "rehabilitation".

Only been in S. Haven with that one on Smoke on the WaterPR.

BTW ..... They do make a heck of a 28. I would run one of those over many larger boats in the **** hands down !!!!!!!

Hey JM, It seems to me that more people post pictures of your own equipment then you do. You must have a loyal following..:p

Web Address For Saber

http://hallandhomes.com/saber/ultimate.htm

Here's a web address for saber, I don't know
if they have launched it yet, But there is
some nice info.

There boats are awesome, you won't go wrong.

If you look up the March 1994 Power Boat
review on the Saber 28 Cyclone you will
be pleased.

First paragraph says Saber Marine Stands
alone as the only manufacturer with a boat
less than 30' long, the 28 Cyclone, to claim
one of the most coveted awards in this category,
Outstanding Offshore Performance.

If I have time I will scan the review and
post it.

Cougarman , thanks for posting the pics. I'll be at Saber tomorrow, (friday) . Doug's got the motors back in the boat so we're gonna do some testing and try to freeze our asses off !
This winter along with the name change the boys are making some subtle paint changes along with all new cockpit colors. Lets see, winds predicted at 15-25mph, 45-50 deg.water temp. 45-50 deg. air temp at 100-110mph, this should be a real pleasure cruise. :D :D

The price one pays for trying to build the baddest of the bad in freak'n Michigan !

LEOPAJM 11-07-2002 10:02 AM

Hey thanks C-Man....... I can almost smell that Cam2 exhaust as I'm sittin here !!!!!!

That was the stop with the Hooter Girls passin out cards wasn't it ???

WickedWon & Leopajm,

Your welcome, I have to do something to keep
my blood flowing as I continue my Project.
:D :D :D

WickedWon,

Good Luck freezing your a** off tommorrow.
It will be worth it, You have a long winter
ahead of you. Temp. isn't to bad today
hopefully tommorrow will follow suit.
Hell I wouldn't mind driving over myself
for this, That's one Bad machine.
