I get customers not wanting it in the show but even if it was it isn't like the old indoor set up.
People board every one of the Cigarettes at the show. Now, it's not without a representative, and the boarders are vetted by a sales person or whatever. But the rep is talking to the parents explaining blah blah blah. Sometimes you have one "buyer" that shows up with their entourage. And the entourage is all over the boat posing for pics for social media, And/or their shltheads kids are running around like baboons on meth literally focking with everything.

That isn't always what happens though, just an instance of what can happen. The Miami show is a lot different in who can actually touch and board the boat and I am more than sure if you don't want your boat board by more than a single person at a time, Cig would honor that on a boat of that scale.

My point is not every Tom, Dick, and Sally cant get on your boat now and have a "free for all"".

I don’t see the need to keep going back and forth. I never said the boats were treated like a walk path. But courting a buyer just doesn’t work that way.

You are not going to tell a “buyer” that his wife has to wait on the dock. And you once you allow the wife on board, well the kids are coming too. And you may have “pappy” coming aboard who only speaks 8 words of English, so the two adult bilingual kids have to come on as well; so they can convince him to buy it. Miami is a totally different world, regarding the boat show and beyond. And Cigarette and their dealers are there to make money.

For that reason, I 1000% can see an owner’s reasoning for saying “abso-focking-lutely no”.

There would be no way my $10,000 boat, or $10 million dollar boat would be shown at a boat show. I wouldn't want it displayed at the dealer either. Nothing good could come out of it for the boat owner imo.

Beautiful boat. Best luck to the new owner.

I agree the customer can say no (and I prob would too), I just don't agree with your thoughts and the picture you are trying to piant of what is happening at this show as it is night and day difference to me than the old show indoors. Agree to disagree.

Beating a dead horse sort of but my initial thought was after reading skip Bravers comments in regards to the performance v bottom world not dying , ( which I kindly disagree with ) That you’d be excited and willing to show off this boat . That being said if it’s the customers choice so be it . Last year in Miami there was a 38 tg a canopied 43 OL and I think maybe an outboard hustler . Would be nice to start seeing more big V’s again .
