Ok -
It was 1989 in Atlantic City for the Trump Offshore Grand Prix (or whatever it was actually called) - My friends and I were 17/18 and through some connections, got into one of the parties on the Deck at Trump Marina. We were hanging around and trying to soak up the whole situation. We met up with a couple of the safety team, talked some shop because we were EMT's and a few racers joined us (wish I could remember who). Anyway, Chuck Norris comes walking by, someone says hello and next thing you know he is hanging with us for a while. He was super cool, sat down and had a beer with us and really appreciated the safety team & mom and pop race teams. A few minutes later, Donald Trump came through the party with a couple of body guards and went out of his way to come see us (us being Chuck Norris and the safety crew) and genuinely thanked the safety team for all their support. Trump and Chuck Norris were great! Then there was Don Johnson. First off, I was (and still am) a big fan of Miami Vice and it was a huge part of my love for the sport. Anyway, Don came walking through the crowd with two giant bodyguards. Chuck Norris called over to him and said let me introduce you to some new friends of mine. He walked over to our group, looked us up and down like he was shopping for produce or something, turned to Chuck said something I couldn't hear and walked away. Never said hello or even acknowledged us! We all sort of looked at Chuck and he just shrugged and said " Don't mind him, he's always an *******!"

That's my Don Johnson, Chuck Norris, Donald Trump story. I think Melanie Griffith was there too but I don't remember seeing her and didn't meet her, lol.

My offshore boat passion came from the good old days watching Bobby Moore, Kenny Black, Danny Patrona, Mark(h20), Doug Martinez and all the other bad asses racing around lake St Clair. Nothing cooler than a group of classic Magnums and Mirages waking the lake up.

met both Johnson and Norris. Chuck came to the race shop a couple times and we all went to lunch and talked boats. we were racing in marathon once and Chuck came down the dock while I was sitting on the boat. he stopped and asked how the boat was running, etc. after a couple minutes someone walked over and asked if he was Chuck Norris, he said yes, posed for pics talked with them all like they were old buddies. greatest guy you could ever hang around. at the same race Johnson came out of the hotel with body guards and entourage in toe about the same time we were walking by. a kid about 8 or 9 ran up and asked him for an autograph, he looked down and said "I dont have time for that kid" and walked away. and that was one of the nicer things I saw out him in the several times I was around him.

Great story, especially liked how approachable Chuck Norris was and he didn't need bodyguards!
What do you think the bodyguards for Trump and Johnson were protecting, their egos?

Actually I think he started his career as a bodyguard/trainer for Bruce Lee and Bruce convinced him to get into the acting side of the business.

Crazy part to me? Chuck Norris is 80, Don Johnson is 70 and Bruce Lee has been dead 47 years but is still relevant in martial arts discussions today!

Chuck Norris never sold out like this:
