Default Foremost Insurance Blows

Just received my first Foremost bill for 2021...almost fell over. Last year paid $2700 for the year which I thought was a lot.

This year it jumped to $4000!!! Hahahaha

I called them laughing....needless to say I will be switching companies. If they aren’t interested covering boats why don’t they just give it up instead of pricing us out of the policy.

We finally settled on a different boat in which the insurance is cheap but I looked real hard at 2016 Howard bullet 28 with a Teague Custom Marine 825 until I got the insurance quote which was $2,200. I had Stacey at Wakezone quote me and she was very helpful, basically with a few carriers getting out of hi-performance boat market and a few taking hits on some big performance boat losses they are getting gun shy.

My regular independent agent who I have my house, car and umbrella policy with said foremost said no way to the Howard bullet and Progressive's system wouldn't even let him enter the boat in their system to get a quote, all of his marine carriers said pass and so I went to Wakezone.

I’m with wakezone and have been for 10 years...haven’t been impressed at all. Time for a change.

I had to switch from Wakezone to Wagner. Stacy was wonderful but David Wagner was a LOT cheaper for my Tiger with Like for Like coverage.

That said, my Foremost policy on my Cafe with Wakezone never went UP!!

WIA here as well. Can’t complain really. Went from a whippled 25 outlaw to a whippled 38ZR.

Actually American Family said they could cover the 38ZR for less than half of WIA, there system just showed it was only a single motor. Lol

What boat/power? I went thru the same thing w/ Foremost this year. Christy at WIA is really helpful. Ended up using another company but she was great to work with.

I just bought an Adrenaline V30. My normal insurance provider that has my other slower boats/jet skis insured could not write the policy on the Adrenaline because of the speed. I shopped a number of places and the best seemed to be Wozencraft. I just paid for that policy a couple of weeks ago and all went very well.
