What unit did you use? Also wondering can you get bigger screens or interface with a NEMA 2000 unit? I assume, (maybe should look myself) that Holley is running on a CAN BUSS, would be cool if someone made the conversion to NEMA standard messages.

Doesn`t the Sniper have the ECU built into the TB?
I went with HP external ECU .. seemed like a better way to go . For what it's worth, The Sniper system was never intended for marine use. You're way better off with an HP ECU running the show. We're a dealer and ive been through all of their training. The Sniper system is great, but not potted or really built to withstand offshore use. The HP ECU is. If you're a lake boater, ittl probably be fine. If you aren't, you really need to consider your application. That being said we used non-potted Accel ECUs for years with minimal issues. But the HP ECU is damn near bullet proof. Just some friendly advice to anyone making the swap. |

Are you running distributors or coil packs? When I finish my Holley HP install I want to ditch my current Merc distributors and Crane HI-6M's and allow the HP to control my timing. Just don't know what direction I want to go.
YOu could also do a crank trigger but I opted for the easier option as recommended by Haxby. Works great . https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...98937d7b68.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b4348d91df.jpg |
I’d say the largest share of Holley’s market is in the weekend street rod cruiser scene where FI is sacrilege, but the carb look alike design makes it acceptable and affordable for a lot of hobbyists.

My bilge is a filthy mess and I haven’t tidied up the rigging yet, but you can see the general layout here with the return line doubling back with the feed line. In the bottom right you can see the filter head mounted as high as possible to help feed some head to the pump to help keep it primed. My return line goes back to the tank. You can plumb it back into filter head but that does heat up the fuel a good deal.

How does returning the fuel to the filter head heat the fuel ?? you need to call Dustin Whipple and tell him he's doing it all wrong......:lolhit:

Well. I guess I made my decision

Might as well update this or start a new thread with how the install goes. There is tons of support on the holley forums as well as a holley sniper facebook group.

I was thinking about starting a build thread with my 12 meter. Totally gutted at moment. Transom totally rebuilt. Motors built. Have brand new interior to install. Doing new paint.
