On LOTO at night, probably a 50' SeaRay wake !! Sorry, can't resist that easy one.

Looks like a few gossip queens on this thread stirring it up! I’m relieved there were no serious injuries, but I could care less about the rest....it doesn’t involve me.

Here is a hypothetical question? If, the boat was a re-sale and the Original Owner was still officially on the title or Coast Guard Documentation and only a bill of sale was in play and not recorded, who actually is responsible for the boat?

Responsible for what?? I don't see any liability issues other than the recovery bill.

Who would be able to recover the boat? If the tow company was filing abandonment, who would be authorized to take possession once it is released by the WP? Theoretically if the new owner never started the process of transferring ownership, would it still be on the Original owner? I am not really sure the answer, because Maritime abandonment comes into play, by them leaving the boat behind. Doesn't the tow company upon recovery, have the opportunity to file for ownership? Is the boat being abandoned in the water different rules than being beached? Weird scenario?

respectullly Greg I never made the statement that the incident was on lock down. I was just curious why an accident and abandonment would not be discussed on this site.

“. So is it the person or manufacturer or both that has the influence to keep this under the rug here or simply that no one knows or cares to comment? Is this now a taboo subject? Asking for a friend😬“

Also a “slow roll over” seems to be the ongoing message/conclusion as to how it ended upside down in the lake. I’ve also heard the boat was blown over.

If there is pics of the boat you will know if it was blown over or not more times than not.
