Boat was excellent with Arnesons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmhE9uvbMX4

I had the 47. It had 496 Ho/Mag and Bravo III X diesels (yes). The mercury rep told me (after going through a couple of sets) that the drive would bolt up fine and that the only difference was the gear (I think mine was a 1:50 and the best part was the main shaft was something like 25% wider than the non-diesel). Never had a problem after that. Also, Art Lilly would make me change the drive fluid on a regular basis!

Hi Matt
Just started back working on it, got sidetracked this summer working on our 41 Apache.
Holes are cut in transom,

Laminated coosa (airtex) with epoxy resin super strong
extension boxes mocked up then pulled off and sent to powder coat(black). Built a swim platform extension to prevent someone jumping on props. Got it partially attached need to do some more glass and gel to finish. Props in production....looks like I’ll have it ready for next season.

Default 2.300 valves

opening up heads to 2.300 is sure path to a few extra ponies, but history has shown cast iron heads tend to crack in seat area after a short time of use particularly in open cooling system, some crack into water jacket some not

Love big fast cruisers. Wouldn’t it be easier to run an SCX and 5 blades instead of tearing it up for an arneson swap.
