My wife has had both shots of Pfizer, first slight soreness. Second shot the next day at work she got some chills, took some ibuprofen and was good. She is a NP and said that is a good sign.

Her mom (83) had two shots, not sure of who and after the second one was tired and low fever for a day.

Guy at work that is 67 had both, after the second one the next day he didn't feel good enough to work. Next day all is good.

As for me and the wife we get the flu shot every year, almost never get the flu. She tells me you can not get the flu from the shot, but yes its a guess every year so maybe 50% at best.

You can have a reaction if you are allergic to eggs? I think that is it. Either way if you do not want the flu or this shot, don't get it.

My physician friend calls a covid vaccine reaction a Netflix day.

We've only got the Pfizer 2 dose version out here (so far)
My parents and my uncle/aunt (all in their 80's) have had both shots with no discernible side effects , and that's saying something for my momz as she can't even take a Tums without a reaction. An old gal who I keep an eye on and who is 95 never noticed a thing.
My brother , both shots and no reactions. A good few friends .. both shots and no reaction. Of course a few people are talking about a slightly sore arm the next day but what's that to worry about?
I had no reaction and a pretty normal arm after jab 1 and get my 2nd tomorrow.
The only person I've heard of who had bad chills and an uncomfortable night was in fact a nurse . It seems as though most of the notable reactions around here are in people under 60.
I don't blame you for the wait and see though as I registered for my jab in early January and hoped my appointment wouldn't come through right away either so I could gauge public experience.
BTW , I got the shingles jab in 2019 and the warnings that came on paper with that thing scared the crap out of me but I didn't even have a sore arm afterwards !

All bs aside my wife is wearing me out about the shot. She lost a friend recently that had a heart attack right after being diagnosed with Covid. The Dr's are saying it was a blood clot that caused the heart attack but the clot was caused by the Covid virus. Im fine with sticking to my vitamins and herbs.

Got the 2nd dose about 6 hours ago. Arm is sore as to be expected but feel fine otherwise and hopefully that doesn't change. I'm scheduled to run a 5k in the morning. Will let you know if I get any side effects over the weekend.

my update - felt tired the night of the shot and at 10 pm had the chills bad! Went to bed with a hoodie on and covered with several blankets. Woke up drained but was still able to run my 5k and stay out all day for St. Patty day celebrations. Sunday felt drained also but otherwise fine. I will say my arm on both doses was sore as all hell for 2 days....to the point I couldn't sleep on that side.
