Who is getting the shot? I am 59 years old in average shape. I had covid along with my wife and 2 kids 2 months ago. We all recovered just fine. I am getting the shot when its my turn.

Why would you get the shot if you already had it? Statistically, arent you more likely to have side effects from the vaccine than get Covid again?

I got Covid and recovered...wasn't a fun experience, but no way would I get this "vaccine".

Hell no. My whole family got it in September, it wasn’t even as bad as the flu for us. I’m not and have never been worried about a virus with a 99.7%+ recovery rate.

I'd rather get Covid for real than risk taking a vaccine that we don't know the long term side effects for.

Last time i got a shot (had to, boot camp) they had a paint sprayer looking thing with a ball on the end, it had a teeny tiny hole in it and the juice was pressurized so the stream piecred the skin and boom you got god knows what kinda cocktail.

never forget it, next day after breakfast we where all sick and puking on the grinder (parking lot).
The seagulls (who you had to salute) where eating food out of the puke causing more puking because it was so gross.

The air crew liked my mask , said it makes their job so much worse having to wear that $hit on their face all day . I don`t know how they do it . I wear it for 15 minutes my face itches and my nose starts to run.. my daughter gets headaches at school wearing one .

No reason to get the vaccine if you have the antibodies already. If you've had C-19 already then you have the antibodies.
I'm undecided at this point and will get an antibody test first. Myself and everyone in my household has lots of exposure to the public and I easily could have had it with mild to no symptoms.

I have family and a couple fishing buddies who are MD’s and they say essentially the same thing. They are not afraid of the vaccine but aren’t worried about the rona enough to jump in line.
The treatment is much improved for most people, however you still hear about an occasional outlier who gets nailed for no obvious reason, but that’s the case with numerous ailments. IMO the vaccine is probably the way to go if you have health issues that the virus might complicate. For people of good health, the far greater insult is being told they and their livelihoods aren’t essential. The state of FL has been reluctant to interfere with normal commerce and I don’t see where we have faired any worse than states with heavy handed restrictions.

Just had Covid last month so no rush to get anything and not really thinking about it currently

OK, at first glance this is weird. Bells palsey makes the side of your face go numb for hours, possibly days. You look like a stroke patient. But the problem is, Bells palsey is neurological. Its not "just" Bells palsey.... They act like its no big deal. But in reality, to have Bells palsey isnt routine... Its a big deal, its not a simple side effect like a runny nose. Its scratching the surface of much larger neuological side effects that could be permanent, could be long lasting. Thats just it, they dont know or they havent told us yet...

Im torn about getting the shot.....i understand both views about getting and not getting it. I personally believe i already had covid back in Feb when something was kicking my buy for almost a month straight! But back then there weren't testing for it other then asking if you've been out of the country. My wife has an auto-immune disorder so to say she is freaked out about being around careless people is an understatement! So i cant be any less careless for her sake or she goes into stress overdrive. :(
I guess in the end we will take the shot but we will be the VERY LAST ones in line and only after im being forced to do so at gunpoint! ;)
And for those thinking that just because your healthy you will be fine.....tell that to this family below who just lost their Husband/father to covid. We used to hang some 20yrs ago in our stupid early 20's....he was a gym rat and by far the healthiest out of all of us. Never seen him sick...never missed a day of work for any reason other then family obligations....he would have been the guy you think would only get mild to no symptoms....now he's gone just like that :(

Wife just left to get hers but she is a NP, by the time I am even able to get it there will be more and a lot will have had it. I'll decide than, working from home (did before all this ****) and almost always outside when around people I do not worry much.

As for the same as flu, all I know is that I have known of 11 people that have had it, 2 dead, one in the hospital. I have never known anyone die from the flu but I know they do. The one in the hospital is over 70 so at risk, the other two were younger than me, one in his mid 40's.

The great thing, if you don't want to take it,,,, well DON'T, but why screw with people that do? Its like Bit$hing at the poor min wage worker telling you you need a mask on when you enter a store, they are just trying to keep there job. Call corporate.

Some HR departments are already researching making it MANDATORY, as in a requirement to keep your job. And not to jump in with the tin-foil hat group...but there are those in our wonderful incoming government who feel that is okay. This could easily morph into a "show your 'immunization card' to be able to buy food, gas, etc.

Yes, thats what I am afraid of too. We are at the point of no return. Dems are saying for the good of the people and for individuals at risk. They already said the govt can make shots mandatory during a pandemic and then, if they dont, the airlines have said it may be required to fly at which pint they will put a star on your license similar to Real ID. How is this not different than the star of david on Jews in WWII?
