The salesman told me the money was spent on one engine. I am going to talk to Will tomorrow and look at the boat. I don't have much faith in sales people!

How about a 35 Mistress for $45,000 in good original condition?

I would say no, but most are still holding value well. Older stuff like Scarabs, Sutphens and even Apaches are still harder to sell. Even older Cigs have not increased that much in value unless somebody put a ton $$ into them. The TS Cig prices have gone crazy over the last 3 years.

I looked at the boat. Maybe I'm too particular but I saw a lot of things that I would need to redo. Also I talked to Will. he has never done anything to one of the engines since the currant owner bought it. I have no idea if anything was ever done to that engine. The other engine had water leak into a cylinder and score the cylinder wall and had to replace that one piston with an oversized one. One cylinder with a larger piston I'm not sure about that..

I’ve been following this thread since posted. At best this boat is worth $60k. Cigarette is not worth this kind of money with all these issues ....it’s just another boat that needs a sh$t ton of money to make it right.

Post some pics when you get time. Spring is right around the corner.
