People will eventually wake up, hopefully sooner than later. Local elections will hopefully start turning the table.

I should have not come back home from Missouri this past weekend. Was paying $3.99/gal all last week. Come back to the state of ILL (puke) and seeing anywhere from $4.59 to $4.79.

Hello,
Southern Wisconsin it is 4.39 for 87. In Illinois Cook County it is 5.10 for 87. |
Paid $5.40 this past Saturday to fill the gallon lawnmower can. Man on the other side of the pump was at $28 and change for his lawn can. Had a verbal exchange and he said he had filled his excavator the day before, over $800.00. My retort was that I have a boat that holds 160, soon to feel the pain!
Simple question here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Do you miss the occasional Mean Tweet? Miss the odd hair fop? Orange Man Bad chants from the far left wierdos? Would seem based on the primaries today that some are coming back to their senses. WTF it is only money! If we do not spend it they will take it in taxes, or come up with a new tax to take it from our cold dead hands. |
Snivel me a river. You all whine worse than a bunch of sissy democrats. If you can’t afford a thousand dollars a year extra then you should sell your your boat. Half of you don’t boat anyway. You’re too busy *****in on here to burn gas. Please!

Howdy Duty there DipChit! You like this war on the fuel industry and every American that has use for fuel to make a living, get to their job, get their children to school or after school sports etc. heat or cool your home, the list is longer than I can type. I WILL fuel my BOAT and HAVE FUN with it this season just because I find great enjoyment in Boating. That does not mean that I take enjoyment in the MoFo mess that Prez Dumble Fock and his insane leftish band of people haters have unleashed on this Nation and We The People that make it up.

Back to our discussion before we were so rudely interrupted,
The sanctions aren't working so well. In fact they are backfiring. Trying to stop Russia from selling oil and gas has contributed to the already inflated price of energy due to fear of more supply shortages and underinvestment in the oil and gas sector, and in turn filling Putin's coffers. Combined, the outlook for supply is bleak as this administration fights investment in the oil and gas industry on every front. The actual war is going really badly for Russia. But they are faring much better in the economic war. The January to April Russian current account data showed a record increase in the country’s current account surplus: more than even we expected. For the period January-April the current account surplus was $95.8 billion, compared to only $27.5 billion in the same period in 2021. The total balance of goods and services shows an even wider gap: $106.5 billion after $35.2 billion last year. As Elina Ribakova from the Institute of International Finance notes, Russia is well on course for a $200 billion-250 billion current account surplus this year. The rise in the current account surplus reflects the higher prices of oil and gas exports Our final conclusion is that western sanctions are not working. There is no need to mince words. We hear quite often that they are working, but those statements are now beginning to fade. This is the usual euphemistic nonsense. We Europeans are quite good at this Douze Points thing. Not so good when it comes to taking strategic action. The reality is that the sanctions are not working, full-stop. This is the war Putin has a chance of winning. |

Also, just so you know, we all use other things that consume fuel too. Not too many people I know own just a bike (or skateboard) and a boat. :) How about everything else effected by oil ? Sure, snipe at us vs our gov’t. That’s the way to do it. :) |
