Anyone ever heard of a 38' Scarab, mid 80's KV called "Twist and Shout"? It used to be in Ventura Cal. It was a bit worn out but it was a sweet ride at one time with twin 540's and #3's. Anyone?

I really wish I could buy it but going from a 22' to a 50' it a little too big of a jump. I don't think my Dodge Intrepid would pull that. VERY VERY nice boat though. One of my favorites.

Here's a pic of the most famous Scarab of all time. Betty was my Aunt. She raced a Cigarette for one year but went back to her Scarab. She was a true Scarab Racer by heart. I still have a ton of her things from when she raced. 95% of it has Scarab on it. I won't mention the Formula Cat...

Tank, I had my shop on Palma
Next to UPS in the early 80s
and there was a Scarab on a
hydro hoist close to the Park
service boats.
I went there about Stainless
exhaust systems but when they
were getting ready to move it
it fell off the hydro hoist.
It wiped out the dock and the
boat next to it.
Do you know DUTCH he was there
Team Scarab moved from Orange
Co. to Ventura in Mid 80s, I
had been doing some of there
projects and we moved my shop
in with them in 87.
They were also on Palma Dr.
but across the tracks.
The only 50ft Scarab was worked on in Ventura and then
moved to be finish rigged and
was raced as the "Drambuie"
and had 4 CAT motors and set
a number of World Records.
The story ends in Miami at TNT
when the driver towing it got
stuck on the Rail Road tracks
and a train hit the boat.
The mold was cut up to make
a 60ft "SCARIB" Inflatable Boat.
