Jeff....when I started my company, Don advised me to pick a name that has nothing to do with the boating business.
He said that people will remember something that is different, especially if you can tie with something they can remember.
I picked Banana Boats, because Don took some skinny Magnums, 6.5 feet wide and tried to make race boats out of them. They were too narrow and chine walked like crazy. BUT....he made them all in yellow and people started calling them Don's Banana Boats.
The other companies he started also had names that were not boating names. Formula, Donzi, Magnum, Cigarette, Squadron XII, USA Racing. Because of the racing success, people did remember them.

I remember what you said. Could not settle on one with the family so i figured i needed some help !
6 out of those 7 are not marine related! looks like I am on the right path...
