38 Donzi ZRC - Best V-bottom inboard under 40'.
- 110+ with twin 700's, handles like its on rails
- race proven with numerous national and world titles
- will run with all the big boys in the toughest seas
- hull designed in 2001 as a 2002 model and still being built today - dominated then and still competitive today.

IMHO.... 2007 35 Fountain Lightning w 525s.
Easy to trailer, reliable power, relatively affordable (compared to other 100 mph boats), and looks fast sitting still. 😎

It isn't even disputed that the ZRC's dominated Offshore racing on both sides of the Atlantic when the seas got rough and real! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPB2gSKpiNY

Competing against other boats it's size, I don't disagree that it is possibly at the top of it's class in the rough, but the post stated that it "will run with all the big boys in the toughest seas". I don't care how good a 38 Donzi runs in the rough, it's never going to stay with the 45'+ "big boys" when the water get's big.

Sorry then if I misinterpreted his post, I thought he was referencing size, not manufacturers. I assumed he was talking about the "big boys" being the big boats, not the leading manufacturers. As for getting this thread back on track that I hijacked, I'm quite biased in my opinions of boats, but I'll throw out my list anyways. Since this post is on OSO, I'll keep my choices to offshore style boats under 40', and also only boats I've driven, ridden in or owned - MTI390X, Skater 388, Skater 36/368, Skater 30 and Skater 28.
