Default The importance of stringers and bulk heads.

Any boats being made without stringers and bulkheads in the USA?
In Colombia none of the boats are built using stringers o bulkheads and they flex like crazy and are afraid to hit waves especially head on. Never seen anything like it.

There are a lot of boats around the states that have stringers and bulkheads the consistency of fresh oatmeal, if that counts....

i have never seen a boat without them until I came to Colombia
Colombia is about 50-60 years behind the states on boat building. They use roving and fiberglass mat. No fiberglass cloth used here. It’s crazy lol

Yeah, my canoe. The floor was so thin and flexed so much that I glassed in a plywood floor. I thought someone was going to go right through the bottom!
