After 15 years of seller's remorse and FINALLY getting the 47 back, I'm sure there is a plan to repair it.

I agree, I don't think the heritage will go through.
But, IMO the subject boat of this thread will sell like toilet paper during Covid, whether its broke, repaired, or whatever.

Sometimes a Curriculum Vitae should accompany a post.

All the motor mounts broke in the outboard and the screw for the throttle cable shook loose. But I made it back and not even a gel crack anywhere on that boat. I've also been out in 8' with my 280 Velocity. After watching the Donzi video I won't do that again. I had the boat so far off the water my wife could see the entire boat above the break wall of the harbor. Maybe I need to take it a little easier.
And I thought I had some crazy adventures to relate With my 22' Donzi Classic on Lakes Huron, Erie, St. Clair and connecting rivers. Glad you made it home. Apparently not an open bow boat!

New boats with foam stringers and transoms are already there in a year.

Lake Michigan gets most of the big water discussion but Huron is just as nasty.
