It does not surprise me that a boat manufacturer would be running night shifts. Nearly all boat manufacturers are backed up with orders.
The Fall in water boat show at LOTO was cancelled because dealers had hardly any inventory.

In Florida in a non climate controlled space I'd lean to work at night anyways. :drink:

Except No-see-ums!

I think Velocity was also adding a second shift.

Marinas around here have been sold out for 2 summers. Best ever for some.

Motorcycles, pedal bikes, snowmobiles, kayaks, canoes, etc,etc have been mostly sold out, even before employment and shipping issues. Oh, and homes here (mot are second homes - we are located next to a big lake) have basically doubled in price.

As great as this sounds, it scares the crap out of me.

Williston is in the middle of nowhere and FL started minimum wage at $10 an hour as of today, so they will have trouble filling positions for sure. Awesome for them to be so busy!

Doesn't surprise me. At the rate we are headed, everybody will be flush with cash, but won't be able to buy anything cept food..... if were lucky.

I'm in Jacksonville, fairly big city, offering same amount for a very basic painter (painting industrial pumps) and the last three guys didn't even show up to their scheduled interviews. Most don't even answer our response to set up an interview for the job ad that THEY applied for. It is not an easy time to be a small business owner. I just saw that my local short track racetrack cancelled the entire rest of their racing season because they can't get any tires now or for the foreseeable future, and this is their biggest busiest money making time of year. How bad is this going to get and for how long? Crazy times.

So long as small businesses are in competition with our government for wages offered, it ain't gonna get any better.

Thanks. Brad.
