I know he has the triple 525 46 but why would that make him the ideal Cig spokesman? He is famous for what (other than marrying a Kardashian)?

As much as it pains me to say this, this kid is catering to a new group that has a lot of wealth and is off to a pretty good start, it got all of your attention. Cigarette is no longer the brand that many of the owners know. It’s progressive and feeding off the wants of the market, and unfortunately that is not loud piston powered boats, the generation buying boats now wants ease of ownership (outboards) and as a business, I think they will succeed with this type of advertisement. It’s a brand all love, continue loving it through the changes.

no one is saying not to focus on outboards or center consoles…I think people are saying partnering with lebron james, kardashians, and building jet skis is not a good idea.

hey if they want to pander to Hollywood clowns…go for it.

you don’t see brands like Rolex, Ferrari doing that…

I hear you. It’s a new take on brand recognition which, Cigarette was pretty small in the market place. Rolex, Ferrari etc don’t need to “pander” as they have a much larger and wide spread client base.

Well...we did see Don Johnsn, Chuck Norris, Kurt Russell and a few other Hollywood types play with boats a few ( well a few more years)years ago....

Face the music, we are grumpy old men and the world is changing...The grumpy old men before us probably thought our music was sh!t and way too loud, we dressed funny, and were helplessly obsessed with speed.......

I couldn't find a pic of the boat (35 Cafe Racer) but Scott Disick and Ian Ziering were the "celebrities" attached to the event..............an ex-Kardashian husband and the washed-up actor from 90210?

Art Basel is huge in Miami...............not sure this "crushed it" as they expected
Fendi, Gucci, and Loro Piana brothers' new brand Sease have proven how you can make Billions by way of nautical themes. I would be tempted to turn Cigarette Racing Team into a cutting age sporty

fashion house, and I sure would then be more selective with my P.R. events. Throw out of this World V.I.P. parties, for the rich and famous, at say the Formula One races in Miami and Monte Carlo, but it better be

'The Great Gatsby style' motorsport theme events, with a nautical flair. Special charity events to protect the marine world and show off the company's latest environmentally-friendly tech solutions never hurts.

In comparison, check out the Instagram post by Scott Disick for this 'graffiti stunt'. The only hashtag is #BoatsNhoes ! Press the Instagram signature thelordbewithyou link of Scott D.

I wish them the best, but this way they will have serious growing pains. Let's just hope they grow up. Don Aronow stuck two Donzi 16 Ski Sportster in the Abercrombie & Fitch 5th Avenue display window

for the Holidays, he knew how to merchandise his boats.

Don made his money selling his boat manufacturing companies, but nowadays I believe that creating a lifestyle, fashion house, brand out of Cigarette Racing Team, and sell market leading, big-ticket boats in comparison to

the competition could work. Cantieri Riva style, but luxury high performance, competitive American. Do a SPAC and an IPO 2-3 years from now is a way to create more value before it exists. They're communicating that

performance boating is a passion for them. That may be, but I got a feeling that it's All about the money for these newly rich types of boaters, so that's why I included my finance speculations.

I watched how Alec Gores stepped into Polestar EV cars as a major investor, and hardly used any of his own money. Unfortunately, today's 'passionate' marine industry guys are pretty

much like the Wall Street wolves, except they're sharks and much more vulnerable. I wish them the best because they really seem passionate about keeping the Cigarette Racing Team

legacy alive and well.

P.S. I reflect on the company's past Top Guns, and I got to admit that it will now take a 'Maverick' to bring Cigarette Racing Team to the next level. Maybe Ruiz is it, I certainly cheer him on. D.S.

They were on actual race teams and at least Chuck Norris was an actual badass, not just one that plays a badass on the big screen. Chuck Norris is 81 years old and I still wouldn't attempt to sucker punch the guy for fear of really getting my azz kicked!

If Cig hired Paul Walker/Vin Diesel types to be the "cool, fast and furious rep" then I'd get they were trying to reach out to the younger audience. How about Travis Pastrana, he is a real boat racer and an X games superstar?
Ian Ziering was on 90210 in the 90s followed by Sharknado goofy movies and the other guy is simply a no talent that was a fringe character on a reality tv show.

I think some of the comments on here are funny. Regarding focusing on CC’s, really?! Skip was the first performance company to dive into the “performance CC” market when the economy crashed in 07. They have BY FAR sold more CC’s than offshore traditional boats over the last 12 years and it basically saved them through the economy crash. The other thing that saved them is skip straight up branded cigarette as the elite status symbol brand. Selling to princes, kings, presidents and billionaires all
over the world. A lot of people scoff at his deal with AMG but that’s no small feat. There’s never been a longer relationship with a boat company and a world renowned elite auto company. Skip
took cigarette further than any owner previous and really built it into an exotic brand specified for the rich and elite. Maybe you guys haven’t been paying attention. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Seems to me the new owner wants to exploit what has already been built and flood every market with cigarette. Keep the “is that a cigarette boat” typical comment alive and well.

like I said before, I’m optimistically skeptical. But look forward to what they do. They were EVERYWHERE in key west this year. Cigarette shirts being worn by bar backs in all the bars. Cigarette flags all down Duvall. Cigarette mentioned every other sentence at the races. The big black and white 51 running up and down the course all up in people’s faces all week. I even saw a “cigarette world champion races key west 2021” shirt being sold that had a cat on it LOL. (Kindve solidifies my concerns about TM control).

I don’t know about some of the other stuff they’re doing. But i do like hearing the expansion of building facilities, introducing new models and updating older models, etc. the jet ski and yacht and over saturate the name doesn’t excite me but the focus on updating and improving the actual product excites me a lot. We’ll see.
