I didn`t know Alabama shores is slumming it but I like it there .
I get a house that faces the Lagoon, with a small launch for jet boat /jet ski (there`s a public launch across the way)
I can buzz around the lagoon or take the pass thu to the Gulf. Best of both worlds imop.
Lots to do there including Fort Morgan ( I love history)

Next door to the left (N) is Pelican Cove Resort, its got a small marina (41 Apache was squeezed in there), Stu used it as overflow hotel rooms when Holiday Isle (former name of Post Card Inn) was full. Its a 2 minute walk next door. Before the remodel Holiday Isle was rough/dated rooms and we actually liked Pelican Cove much better! I'm not sure it will much cheaper though, remember these hotels got killed in the last 2 years with low attendance/cancellations so they are trying to get their money back!
