I did about 200 miles in a day on the MO river for a poker run in my old 24 Outlaw. Put the boat in the water at 9am and pulled it out around 1am.

A typical day trip at Table Rock Lake can be ~ 80 - 120 miles pretty easily...nothing compared to some of the runs depicted but still, a lot of time on the water...and a bit of fuel, lol!

Phragle, f14waterjet, either of you make it to the southern hemisphere ? you guys shellbacks ?

2 westpacs persian gulf crossed the line both times.

organized hazing rituals steeped in tradition smeared in food garbage grease and who knows what getting whipped with a hunk of fire hose on your hands and knees getting blasted with salt water crawling thru a puke food oil grease make shift obstacle course and retrieving the olive from a fat guys belly button covered in lard. Good character building exercise, it was just like the first day of kindergarten at incarnate word academy except the nuns used holy water and there was no olives.

Fort Myers Fl to the Dry Tortugas to Havana Cuba to Isla Mujeres Mexico. Burned over 50 gallons in fuel , but that was mostly from running the generator to keep the refrigeration and batteries up and to run the air to sleep cool at night

The new 75 foot mast and standing and running rigging with 2 new sails installed before the trip was around 180 thousand 20 years ago.

WIND AINT FREE.
