Yeah, it’s fairly aggressive… and you don’t really ever see that. From what I’ve seen, a lot of big off shore boats have them but they have multiple gradual steps . You have to be careful driving, it can be dangerous. I always have to let off the throttle very easy and a 180 isn’t all that hard to do.

Go to a poker run or a race and look at the boats, It doesnt mayter if it has one step or an outerlimits with 27 steps, they will all have tabs. That said your boat, steps or no steps is a single correct? singles are susceptible to torque which can cause them to lean. a twin has counter rotating props that counteract the lean. On a single slightly dragging a tab can help considerably. You need to take the time to learn the hydrodynamics of a stepped hull as there are some things about them that can get you in trouble really quick. You are correct in that they handle different than nonstepped hulls but you need to go a step further as to how.

It is a very aggressive step, and it looks like a much steeper dead rise ahead of the step than behind it.
In my opinion (and I have a single step boat, so I am permitted to engage in this discussion), you should start with easy stuff like trying to move the center of mass farther back (even 50lbs worth of cooler from the front to the back will make a noticeable difference) does trimming it up lift the bow enough, and talk to Brett regarding props to achieve less stern lift. It sounds like you have two different things occurring, correct me if I am wrong: one being bow steer and the other listing over to one running surface? Trim tabs will help with the listing over, the bow steer looks like a design flaw in relation to your current set up (prop characteristics and balance)

yup, me too. One of mine seems to have disappeared, But then again, the op has another thread from last year on speed buying the boat and having speed issues. Discovered the trim button and found 7mph.

FWIW, by chance when I was Googling Senza Spectre pics, I came across an Iboat thread by the same guy from 2018 fighting the same issue, here.

Apparently he has no clue or he needs someone that does to get the boat squared away if there is an issue at all.
