Generally speaking.... MOST dealers in order to keep a dealership franchise are required to order X number of units. Whether it is boats, cars, trailers etc.

MY GUESS is this was the case with the change in coverage at LOTO.

I have no doubt that BTM will sell each boat as it is produced. It is blind sided to think they would all come out of production at the same time and hit the dealership at once. Example: Nortech dealers are what 1.5 years out if you put in an order now?

Same as ALL the manufacturers, time is part of the process. That gives a dealer an opportunity to presell their allocation to build along the way. Difference is they are guaranteed a spot in production and can schedule accordingly.

In the early announcement, the Cig-Wrights had a commitment for 12 units, I highly doubt they too were all presold or the order would not have been allegedly rescinded. Is there any confirmation that happened?

I certainly am not privy to direct info, but I know what I haul for paint/rigging etc... And there is certainly positive things on Cig's future. I do know there is a change and for all of our sakes, I hope/expect it to work out in the long run.

I again must add, who that is digging deep in theory is ready to actually buy? That is the opinion I want to hear from.

better tell every company to stop advertising and marketing there companies then…since it doesn’t matter. Hahaha

rolex wrote the book on marketing…maybe we should tell them to stop wasting there time???

pretty sure Google did 256 billion dollars in ads last year. Branding, marketing, advertising…pshhh. Over rated!!!!

also this isn’t synonymous with how cigarette has branded there company for the last 20 years. Cigarette it’s a lifestyle.

Were talking about 2 separate things aren't we? Isn't the complaint in the original thread about all the other "brand products" the new management is trying to add to the overall Cig line. That is where I see the growth they are wanting to express and promote in sales predictions?

The actual boat, really kind of speaks for itself in want and need. I am again going out on a limb here, very few Cig Boat buyers are entry level and first time owners. MOST I would guess have started on other brands and had the goal of owning a Cig, then at some point was lucky enough to buy a new one. The people at that level are again, going for a pacific model/look/cost and the marketing at a generic level is not that important to them.

I could be wrong, I've been wrong before...
