If your looking for a custom high performance boat builder you don't exactly want to see the new owner brag about quadrupling sales in one year and expect to grow by 10X. Quality will inevitably suffer under that growth target.

Based on public comments, the moves they have made surely don't support what Skip worked so hard to create and maintain. Dropping their number one dealer was another move that has people scratching their heads,-building product is one thing, placing it into the customers hands is another "pricey merchandise is sold by people who relate well to their customer base". They have a lot to prove at this point and I hope for the good of our hobby they succeed. Don is probably cussing up a storm as he watches from above thinking the brand could potentially go away if enough mistakes continue to be made.

I think a more accurate comment or quote would be "things get real when it comes time to WRIGHT the check". You can't change a deal from what your verbal agreement has been all along and you can't make internal demands and changes within a business that isn't yours yet. For those who don't know Doug Wright, he does NOT like to be told what he has to do-by anyone.
