C. Wind was westerly that day (as it normally is in west end of Erie) and we were exiting the harbor on the east side of the island which put us into the lee of the island until we exited out of it.

Which was starting to happen at end of video.

Think what you want.

Some people’s opinions concern me.
Yours is not one.

We had the privilege of running the first few Erie Poker Runs. The water patrol was calling the waves 6 to 8's. They were indeed! For those who haven't run Lake Erie, it is no joke when it's rough. It's much different than Lake Michigan. The waves are steeper and closer together. It was doable but still a handful in our 43.

It is the shallowest of the Great Lakes and is controlled by the wind.

If it’s blowing so is the lake.

A 1000 wrecks on her bottom.

Ive been down on a few.

She will keep you on your toes.

I have many, many stories of it trying to kick my dads ass and then mine.

I have never been on Erie, but I have heard many people say that it can get real nasty in a hurry.
I love the analogy of a skateboard down an escalator!
I'm going to use that one for sure.
Huron seems to have longer distance between the big swells (compared to Erie) and they usually come in as sets of three.

How about a third option- sell the 290 and buy a 320 Velocity!
