Trump was right about everything, litterally everything. Trump wasn't right about quite a few things and loves to sign deals with big fanfare and then they crumble: Trump University, Trump Airlines, Trump Atlantic City Casinos........ https://www.rollingstone.com/politic...ailures-59556/ |

https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...699d33d7b.jpeg Why should I give a F about his personal bad business deals? None of which effect me in the least. Contrast his policies with what we have now and then tell me how much he sucks. |
Everyone with a computer can become a "creditable" news source now, if it fits the way you think people believe it. No need to even site references.
But back to the Bit coin millionaires buying up the CIG brand and lifestyle. |
I used to have a used media store and subbed to Rolling Stone to keep up on new music. I dropped it many years ago when it became all about politics. Mr. Jupiter Sensation, I respect you but you discredited your own statements by citing Rolling Stone magazine as your source. lol

Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Not sure what Trumps failed business ventures has to do with anything . |

So yes Rolling Stone makes mistakes, got sued and paid the claims..............yet Trump didn't sue for defamation on the story on his 13 failed businesses? |

how many of his business were successful? Do you think he got to be where he’s at by mistake or by not knowing what he’s doing?, I know some people on here have made mistakes such as buying boats and getting them repossessed, but then they learn from it and they move On, it does not mean that their failures in life, or does it? All I could tell is the circle of people that I hang out with lived better when he was a president versus him been a citizen |

Bitcoin went to crazy highs with Biden in office.........Do I think Sleepy Joe had anything to do with that, absolutely not! So can you blame him when it crashed down last week because he was in office? Again, absolutely not. Trump was a great experiment (and I voted for him in both elections) but there is plenty not to love about his time in office. Like the current ownership of CRT, lots of "billionaire self promotion" but the devil is in the details. |

Trump is a billionaire, he is doing just fine but he is a promoter and at times stretches the truth in the process. He is a salesman, some people are blinded by the gold leaf some people aren't. I would never do business with the guy because you will get the short end of the stick and might not get paid at all.

Yes, I also agree that economies, for the most part, are cyclical, but today is different than in years past. Administration policy can make a difference. Absolutely idiotic policy is the reason for our high gasoline prices. There is no way that a free market could change so fast without outside intervention. Joe and Cameltoe initiated policy which has caused prices at the pump to soar and has probably impacted the middle class more than anything. 401k's, which hold much of the net worth of many, has also been affected, at least in large part, by this administration. The Cigarette acquisition was probably the best for the folks that sold it. Great timing, as we have to be at the pinnacle of sales/revenue (or at least close). I always am in the corner of hard working entrepreneurs risking their own capital and are happy when one successfully cashes out. Most ride it too long and just fade away over time. Hopefully the private equity group is not just all smoke and mirrors. I, for one, was glad to hear that the Doug Wright deal went another direction. |

It owns a portfolio of claims with a billed amount of $1.5 trillion, though it says revenue from the business hasn’t yet been substantial. That hasn’t stopped Ruiz, a son of Cuban immigrants, from living a billionaire lifestyle for some time. He purchased a Boeing 767 previously owned by Qantas Airlines to use as his private jet, the Miami New Times reported in April. The plane once would have flown about 300 people. After a six-month refit costing almost $10 million, it sports a theater, two lounges, a master bedroom with a full bathroom and shower and space for about 30 guests. The plane is registered to MSP Recovery Aviation LLC, a company controlled by Ruiz that MSP pays for transportation services. Ruiz and Frank Quesada, the company’s chief legal officer who has a stake in the post-combination company that’s now worth about $3.5 billion, separately own a law firm that will be the exclusive lead counsel for MSP. That positions them to receive 20% of all recovered payments. |

Completely different scenario. The money lost was just stock valuations on a IPO. Going to jump around a bunch initially. Facebook was a great example.
One day I’ll be able to have a bad day on the street and only be worth 10B lol. Ruiz is more like Do Kwon the crypto guy. Kwon self promotes his own products, puts stories out on his wealth/spending and everything is awesome until................its not. Funny in the article a hedge fund group called Pantera Capital backed/sold early and turned 1.7mm into 170mm before the meltdown. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/18/t...y-do-kwon.html |

The flying around Miami in the helicopter to scout out new stadium locations, tearing down Gables High School stadium were dumb stories, especially since UM/Gables HS knew nothing about it.
I am a Gator fan and don't live there and have heard about him and his Canes relations for a couple years now and we'll before OSO and Cigarette. Maybe get out more? |
