I watched this documentary a few days ago. Its outlining why corals are dying off worldwide, in some cases 60 days the coral goes from alive to algae covered dead. The cause: rising water temps
The losses in the last decade have been staggering and the documentary is already 5 years old

I would imagine if the coral is that sensitive to temps that it would move to locations more accepting for it. I know that it cant physically move but it does send out seedlings so to speak that float around and settle and start growing. I see it kind of like a thermocline layer when diving.....it will move up and down depending on water temps, so im sure that the corals would end up moving around depending on the water temps as well. To me the bigger issue for corals is the fishing boats that drag the nets across the sea bottom and rip things up!
