Alcohol, windy conditions, speed and no life jackets…..The perfect storm.

You guys are right, so sad and so preventable. Please don’t drink and boat and it doesn’t matter if they had enough life jackets on the boat if they weren’t wearing them anyway. Our boat is way slower than that one and when we leave the pier heads, the jackets are on. I’ve had close calls at 60.

I think most of us are guilty of forgoing the life jackets on a hot day.

Monday through Thursday the river has very little traffic and is very inviting to run fast (minus the alcohol).
