Under $13k for an engine they run on the dyno before they send it. What a bargain

See if they will drop the compression to tone her back and allow for 87

Seems like a real reasonable deal . I spent $10k and I got 2 belt drives and just machining on 2 blocks . Now after $10k Im looking at 2 bare blocks that need to be assembled . Should have bought 2 of those and be done with it ..

I've owned two single engine boats in your size range. A fuel injected modified 454MAG and a carbureted blown 540. I had less problems w/ the 540. Just my experience.

Check with Mark (control freak). I think he still has their 540 short blocks. He had trouble early on but my have been top end issues.

I have one of their LS3/Auto Transmission kits in a 77 Trans Am and a SBC in my 94 GM short box pickup, completely happy with them.

I highly recommend a carb with Daytona Sensors programmable ignition. I have a 524 with a fairly big cam and it runs as good as any EFI even cold without a choke. I boat in very cold water and I hit the key and put it in gear and it idles perfectly at 650rpm. The best part is I just did a 60 mile trip and only used 20 gallons of gas at 50mph with some runs to 75. Simplicity is your friend on a boat.
