I am certainly glad that the guy is OK and no spectators were hurt.
Lol! Every evening looking out over the main channel at the 19 MM you can spot the toons coming from a long ways away as like you said, they have their "headlights" on.

Prior to any run, safety check including lanyard connection check AND test it. Hook up and walk away and make sure it trips. Let's face it that safety lanyard is the ONLY thing preventing a runaway vessel no matter what the type.

This pontoon isn't my cup of tea, but to each his own. I think Tyler C., running that 26 joker with a million HP last year was insane, but just make sure your insanity doesn't put others in harms way. We really do appreciate other's insanity...it's entertaining.

I'm thinking as a minimum there should be four people up front playing Euchre or beer pong during pontoon runs.

I still want them to add a class for stock engines, 525, 700, 860, 1350 thats a battle of the hull and setup. Its more impressive. If anything, for the situation of Tylers Joker, yeah its running 140 but it would run 140 in a 22 foot Bayliner too or if you strapped a 1075 to a piece of plywood and it would be inherently safer than a pontoon with 575's... Would be cool to have a class more like the Supercat class.

I can see why the manufacture limits the HP on it to 300 max.

After finally watching the video I agree, it never got up and running right from the start. Never did carry the front of the toons/boat like it should. If that thing had hooked right and then kept going straight towards the spectator line it would have been Shootout over for good.

Did you notice it had a makeshift canard up in front of the front door ?

I don’t know if this had much effect, being it isn’t that big, but these Play Crafts seem to porpoise a lot and I imagine that was a put there to help with that, I agree that it looked like it never lifted and it seemed like he was driving on ice
