No apologies needed Heiko. Thanks for the info on what is the only Talon 377X in existence and supporting this thread! I gather the plan was for President Putin to take a ride in it? That would be in his character for sure.

Skater30, don’t want to derail the thread but you seem to know a ton about Skaters and I’ve been wondering for awhile what the plan of succession is at Skater or who is basically the number two man in the company? I’ve never really heard any other names mentioned with the company except for Peter and it seems like if it doesn’t go through him, it doesn’t go at all lol

Prediction is Triples Quads & Quints Cats being more common place with the sought after rigging geniuses as mentioned in post #69 in high demand. The available torque these blown 4 stokes offer has already shown promise in the twin engine rigs and will reign in a new era of Hyper fast outboard cats never seen before. Achilles heel are lower strength.
Yesteryear experimental quads, Race and Rigging Genius Bill Gzell.

Here is an impressive Quad 36 Skater

Even with mild Mercury Racing 575scis in the showcased 377 Talon, the sound of Blown 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 seems to be threatened by the torquey whirl of today’s blown outboards.

Lengendary Rick Bowling’s Venerable 37 Talon (Venerable definition: commanding respect due to age, dignity, or character. Worthy of reverence). The most celebrated race talon in history!

Good to come across this thread. I’ve been a 377 owner for probably 15 yrs. First boat had 600in NA motors with Bmax’s, ran a best of 122. My current boat has dry sump 632’s, 14-71’s, 1200hp, 6’s. GPS recall shows 168, I haven’t had it that fast yet but I can tell you it is absolutely on rails at 140. I agree these are the best riding hull I’ve ever been in. Zero hopping at any speed. No trim tabs, no tunnel tab, super simple to drive. There’s been a lot of discussion about their ability in rough water but I’ve had mine and some pretty rough stuff and it crushed it, any rougher I wouldn’t want to be out there! I absolutely love the boat. I’ll post a few pics and videos.
