Those boats are badass. I parked our 353 Fastech next to one at LOTO. It looked like the 3600 could swallow our 353. Very cool boat.

Always loved the 3600's. When's the last time you heard of one going over? Never, that I've heard. They're heavier than comparable boats and the tunnel's not as aggressive so they're not as fast as others in their class but laid out nicely, cabin and super comfy. They REALLY gained my respect a bunch of years ago Greg Faulkner who had recently took possession of a new silver #6 3600 joined us for a fun run from Channel Islands Harbor to Santa Barbara Harbor in So. Cal. There was about 10 boats total (a few members from OSO, some even still on here). Turns out water was stupid nasty, like 5+ foot swell, little wind chop and stacked pretty close. Making quartering mandatory and taking a lot of the fun out of running, turning the run more into work than play. All of us decided to just hit Ventura Harbor instead of running all the way up to Santa Barbara, cutting about 30 miles off the trip. But not Greg in the 3600. He hammered down and kept on trucking. He lives in SB so, he trailered down in the morning, dropped the boat in and sent the truck back up to SB, planning on only making the trip one way. He rushed it, ran it up no problem. Said got a little wet but the boat did well.

I always liked them for all the reasons above.

pretty much a cat that has some room and storage.

From a few years ago....
Have had mine since 2007 and love running it. It's old and heavy but fun to run up and down the lake in. Running a pair of Eddie Young 935's and Arneson ASD-7M drives.

Love that one glad to see it pop up again here all the Nor-Tech threads are super ancient lol. What did you notice when you converted from 6's to the ASD's?

Have always liked them and ready for a change, I think. Appreciate the positive comments. Going to look at one tomorrow.

They are really nice cats! Ran into one at Big Dicks last Sunday. And yes, I've never heard of one going over. Cracks me up on the orange one above posted by Brian where they have speakers where the exhaust used to exit. Wonder if they are they running Nor-Tech's underwater exhaust on it now?

That was a common change for the boats that were fitted with the alternative exhaust. And those speakers work great for raft ups.

I enjoyed mine whille i had it for 4yrs. Its safe and heavy. Thought the coxkpit was a little small so moving up to a 40 roadster was an awesome step for me after that.
