I’m in the wrap/PPF industry.
Stay away from 3M PPF as it yellows overtime. Xpel has been a go to for the industry for years now. Hexis bodyfence is quickly becoming a go to for many shops. There are some other quality manufacturers like Llumar which is fine too. Just make sure to use a quality shop that’s knowledgeable about what they are selling and willing stand behind the product

its not supposed to be installed below the static water line for a boat that stays in the water but for everything else just come up 1/2” from the chine and use an edge sealer to prevent lifting.

all depends on the product and UV exposure. Most gloss films these days are rated at 10 years but the easy answer is if it starts to look rough remove it before it gets too bad because it’s a pain to remove once the film starts failing.
