I live on the Cape Haze Peninsula, in Rotonda West, we have no water service, no electricity, and damage throughout the community (and to my home). Power will not be restored for two weeks. My wife and I endured the storm, we are thankful to be alive.

Im operations manager at a large marina on Bradenton Beach We hauled and blocked 40+ boats , from 21' to 85' in the last two days. The few that remained in the water get double lines. My old ass is tired...

Got a brother-in-law in Tampa (with a brand new roof). Hoping it misses them, but not looking very good at the moment.

Irma landed south of Cape Coral so it blew the water out to sea, but this time Cape Coral is in the worst spot for a major storm surge, just east of the eye. Sold our house there last spring, but still wish the best for everybody. This could be a bad one. Very bad.

I'm in Naples 2 miles inland and on the 2nd floor of the condo with a southern exposure no shutters or hurricane windows and we are about to take the brunt of it with the eye hitting Fort Myers Beach at 11am . Hopefully it comes directly east so I don't get all those frontal bands from the south.
Only arriving 11 hours earlier and a 100 miles further south than what they called 24 hours ago.
I have lived here since 84 and we have taken a few near misses and they Phuvked things up in Marco, Naples, Fort Myers Beach, Captiva especially South Seas.
This is the 1 in a 100 year storm for Naples-Bonita-Fort Myers Beach , direct hit skating down the coast in a North north east direction with the eye going up the Caloosahatchee.
