On my lift the 10K cables are the same as the 12.5K Motor and gear boxes are different.

Still not a huge deal to change.

Agree with this, for the most part. Cradle beam size is also an issue. Some of the manufacturers use/used minimum beam size, and while there would most likely still be margin, you may end up with a fair mount of deflection in the beams

All awesome boats. The Gladiator is a different beast than the OL and PR. If you plan on big steam and 100+, consider leaning toward the fountain or OL. I love Gladiators, we're repowering two this winter. I wouldn't want to go 120 in one though. At 120 in a 42 PR I could (and have) take my hands off the wheel.

Crazy how light that is! All the 36/368/388 Skaters are around the 9,000# mark. Super Cat class is 9,500# minimum weight when they pull out after the race.

What type of lift and style of lift is this?

I had floating Polylifts and added another tube under it, usually, it adds 1500-2000 lbs, this is easy, either they are buoyant or they arent.

Ive had 3 different aluminum lifts the "I" beams are usually the same up to 15,000. Again there are a zillion brands so look at your brands website, you will be able to tell in 2 minutes the BIG lifts go up in size significantly. The other thing to consider is pylon size and strength. I cant remember but to go from 9000 to 12000 was a 5/16 to a 3/8 cable swap or somewhere thereabout. The swap bill back in 2015 was $900, so you can probably double or triple that now.

We had 2-3 different engine packages in a white/red one. Had SSM6s on it. Based out of Canada. It was also the first one with the bench seat in the rear which was cool. Before the guy sold it our engines were making 1000hp and it ran out of prop around 125. What a ride though. He actually sold it and bought a Gladiator. Easier to tow, cheaper props, better visibility (stinks in the PR), etc. The PR was eventually repowered with 700SCIs.
Here it is with the big engines and me on the wheel. It really was a great boat...Reggie knocked that hull out of the park.

That one looks good. Hard to see out because the bow is too high? Sit too deep in it in general?
