You have Jack plates on 5x450s? I’d like to see that !

One of the boats is pictured above 36', also run a 20' LCB with a 450 and a 32 DW with 450s. 400Rs are on my tri-toon. All boats have Porta brackets as will the 42 DW when its completed.

IMO, the issue isn't the boat, there's a false sense of security that develops when running a cat because its so stable and so forgiving (to a point)...next thing you know youre running 3' seas with ease at over 100 mph. The more seat time, the more confidence, the more cockiness. it's just human nature and a friendly lil' kitty...until the cat bites back.

I agree but It's not just cats - someone going from a traditional flat-bottom to a multi step V that will run 100+ can just as easily barrel roll the boat because they "think" they know how to drive a boat.

Cig Gladiators had that stigma for a long time where it was "known" to barrel roll but it was boat set-up (drives/tab settings) to conditions and task ie turning
