Burton, Bob Kaiser, Howe, Ect all have 500's on their OB cats.
I'm assuming the performance gain is minimal and that's why no one has come out and posted numbers. The bigger gain will be not chucking lowers like the 450 does when run hard.
Well, at minimum it is 50 HP more...however if you read the literature it is a completely different package than the 450. From internals, to midsection, to gearcase it is "upgraded" in pretty much every area.
With these bigger and bigger cats I would think it is a no brainer for new boats and replacing tired 450's.
I hear a lot of reports about the mid-range torque being the "seat of your pants" obvious change from the 450.
