Sorry for the BS posts. Need 10 to be able to post pictures. Hopefully these are help. If there something more specific to take pictures of just let me know. I'm not sure if it's related to the current issues or not but during spring matinance It was discovered that the fluid level on the dip stick was a quart high and there was no fluid in the reservoir. It's like there was nothing formal stopping the fluid in the reservoir from just free flowing into the transmission. A ball valve was installed so I could just add some when needed

The line on top is the vent, not a reservoir.

Some people connect them to a bottle just in case but normally that is not needed. In any case I doubt if this is the actual problem but lose the ball valve and the excess fluid in the bottle. Make sure the bottle is vented freely.

What position is the shifter in for these pictures?

10 -4. These pictures are all taken in neutral.

The only BS is the archaic 10 post before posting pictures. It serves no purpose. Most everyone knows it and members tell new members what to do about it. Like you just did.

here are a few more I tried to take from a more straight on angle. Its like trying to fit 10 lbs of potatoes in a 5 lbs sack to climb down in the bilge lol. If there is any other trouble shooting I can do just let me know. If not I guess its tear down time.

Yep I can see it better now.

You have a pretty typical hookup for the cable. And not your fault, the geometry is terrible with that setup as you can see by the bend in the adapter. These units are really picky about being all the way in gear or having a clean neutral. That is why we came up with a decent linkage kit to clean up that situation .

Not saying it's your problem but just another thing that can go wrong.

You might want to do one more test with the cable disconnected and the lever all the way in forward and see what if does. Other than that you will need to pull it apart.

It is part of Spam prevention. No way to prove its actually working though, since spammers with less than 10 posts can't post pics. Most spammers go away before making 10 posts or there posts are so blatantly obvious that we ban them early on. New members with less than 10 posts also can't posts links or email addresses until the post is reviewed and approved by a moderator.

The requirement to have 10 posts before you can send a PM has eliminated 98% of the PM Spammers

I too will tell new members who are obviously legit to make some useless posts so they can post pics and get help they came to OSO for.
