I think it depends me personal I cannot go out and buy a new boat, but I think I can take an old one and convert into something I would be happy with at a reasonable price, no I dont expect to get my money back but hell we all no boats are not an investment tool.

I see people all the time converting I/O to outboards with its Formula, Cobalt or even some performance style boats.

when i re did the bullet it was a lot of monry for the old hull to be brought back to life and some things are over board on it. never finished the cabin also.... but when looking at new boats like it they were 300k plus. so i figured for 1/3 or less would have a new old vee. the new cat game was just starting. to day i would be looking for a 33 powerplay to repower with 400-450s maybe 500s. i would have a cool old school cat and be diffrent and sould way better. the new cats all look the same.

the outboards sound terrible there is nothing like 2 or 3 or 4 healthy supercharged or natural bigblocks wound up and making the sound that got us into this sport no one cares if you go 110 or 130 just throttle it up and enjoy the music!
