Only own the Warlock but gave my daughters pontoon a complete rerig, good ol'Johnson outboard, new wiring and new gauges. Can use whenever I want to relax in. Good scuba platform!

I definitely support a second boat and consider it a pre-requisite to owning a fast boat. Don't buy a boat that tries to do too many things because it will end up not doing anything well.
I've got 3 boats myself, but family has more. I have a sunfish I enjoy having on the beach at lakehouse when it's too windy for a nice ride, usually in April and May. Can also use the 28 Saber (when it ges put together) for rough water days. I can also let guest loose on the sunfish without worrying too much. I have an 18ft dual console Pioneer I use to fish with and travel to other smaller lakes with and it stays closer to my house. My mom has a 2003 Sea ray 240 Sundeck and it probably get's used the most, everyone likes it the most. I would try to step up into a 24 or 26 Sea Ray Sundeck rather than the 23 bowrider, will be much better all around. |
I was hoping to get back down to 3. My wife wont let me sell the 31'. Its hers, just needs a bag of cash to go with it. The 35 really made it crowded! 27' is the Hot Rod, 262 for the Family.

Mike,
I'm with you on multiple boats. 1) 1013 28 Skater 2) 2001 26 FourWinns Vista 3) 1996 19 Donzi IO 4)1957 Reinell 16' restoration 5) 1987 American Skier comp. ski boat 6) 1942 Chris Craft Barrel Back 17 I live on a lake with a boat house so I and my wife can pick which one meets our mood and water conditions. |
Well....deal fell through on that one...already sold. For sure on the hunt however. This thread is very inspiring and I think shows a side to a lot of powerboaters that many people don't think about. I get asked everytime out with the Nordic...."how much gas does that thing burn?" and when you tell them..."oh man no way I would never own one of those!" Think it just shows that not all of us are in gas guzzling rockets all the time and we can and do have a ton of fun in everyday boats. Great to see I'm not alone in my thoughts hahahaha

825amps of Battle born lithium batteries' and the 3000 watt Xantrix gives me enough power to run the main A/C and the full size frig for 12 hours over night than the twin 125 amp main engine alternators will recharge through out the day cruising. The 9kw generator will run all 3 ac units if needed as well as the 20gph watermaker or washer and dryer or the indirect cooktop. Its super stable and the protected props and rudders with a 3 foot draft take away a lot of worries . My favorite thing about it is the roomy well ventilated or aircondioned Bridge, I eat and sleep up there most of the time https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...7ed8b95e69.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...f5009cbd2d.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...3dd403218d.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...db4a94175.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...2e41533f9.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...60e7e5b8a.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b2e766e8b.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...680618e78.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...123ff614a.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...022de1fe4.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...418ccf381.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ab815885b.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...fac21bebe.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...ccb2154f8.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...527eb41b5.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0eddbeaa9.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...78cbe1bcf.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...996f5f00e.jpeg |
