Default Who has a second boat?

So this has been mentioned in some threads about people having a second boat. I am considering making a purchase as my nordic project is taking forever and I miss being on the water. I'm looking at an 05 23' Sea Ray bowrider. I will never be out of the performance boat world to get that out there just looking for something to get me on the water and something I don't have to be as anal about and something I can take more than one other couple out with us. Could grab this thing after work and take off for the water and not worry about anything else.

Obviously my "big boat" is nothing like a lot of you guys have but a bigger newer performance boat is just not in the budget at the moment.

Am I crazy for thinking this is an awesome idea?? Once done, I can keep the nordic for weekend blasts, poker runs, and performance oriented fun runs and use the Sea Ray for sunset cruises and raft ups and not care if it gets a beer spilled in it or a scratch in the rub rail....just seems like worry free fun boating and I think it will light a fire under my a$$ to get the nordic project finished.

Thoughts?

We have a small 18 Key west to go with the 32 Fountain. I also bought a 14 foot pontoon I am going to convert into a Tiki barge.

2? I hope to get back down to two by the end of the year!

A rational person would stop buying boats when drinking.

Im hoping to be down to two sport boats but am kicking around the idea of a center console like what you are talking about, just have something that’s more gas and go and actually spend some time on the water for a change.

I've owned a Formula 400ss since 2018......I also own a 21ft Sea Hunt since 2010. While very different boats, I love what each of them are good at! (the 400 has been out of commission on rare occasion however the CC has never let me down!!!)

This is a sign that you might be outgrowing your performance boat or the hassles that go with one.

For me, the idea of a second boat made me take a real look at my Fountain and how we use or didn't use it. By all means if you can swing the two boat household, go for it. But you may find that your boating lifestyle is changing.

I'm down to just my 30' Scarab Panther and my 37' Active Thunder. But I also had a 34' Grand Sport cruiser that I sold a couple years ago.

Second summer with a tritoon to compliment our 42 OL. I hate to admit it, but the 'toon has been an awesome addition. Although I love the big boat, it's definitely a single purpose, get from Point A to Point B rig. The 'toon is great when you just want to relax and not worry about kissing a dock or if we have company that aren't die-hard boaters like us. I could see the SeaRay being similar.

My wife would blow my head off if I got another boat, she didn't even want this one.

I fish a lot so I have other boats for that. I do use them to sneak into waters with friends where I’d rather not take my formula. I highly recommend multiple boats lol
