I am getting dock work done and putting in a new lift. I figure I should go to a larger capacity lift so if I upgrade to a longer-heavier boat I will not have to change the lift.
The issue is the dock company was going to put in a 16K lift (unknown brand I think Boat Lift US) and they told me the bucks are 14 feet long.
That is the same length my current 10K lift has. If I go to a 38-40ish foot boat that seems like they would be short.
What do you guy use or have for bunks on the longer boats?

If your boat sits on the lift now. Use the same bunk arrangement on your lift upgrade. But ask if they can make the lift, cradle compatible. Being that you have no idea what boat you will purchase in the future. You can have a trailer manufacturer like MYCO, make a cradle specifically for your future purchase. When all you have to do is slip it in and bolt it down.
