Not countering your suggestion at all, and I don't know what is considered "old" (ours is an '02), but we didn't have any issue at all getting insurance for our PQ. Our agent just asked the basic questions and wrote the policy. They didn't even ask us to expand on the "V8" we gave them when they asked about the engine. I was expecting the "supercharged" to be a problem, but they didn't ask so we didn't tell.
