I have had both and I agree with alot of whats been said. when I went looking for my last boat I wanted 27 to 30 with a single. Mainly because I was buying new and with the materials and the way that boats can be built these days that size range only needs a single. the weight and balance of that size is perfect if it is done right. I looked at a lot of boats and ended up with a 28 Active Thunder with one 525 ITSxr the boat is huge for a 28 handles rough water better than alot of others that have twins and are well over 30ft as they measure them. the get home 2nd motor is fine but the dock handleing is nit much different. also my 28 has more cockpit and cabin room than alot of 30 and bigger twins. I guess my point is if you want a lake boat a single is all you really need. also ck price's and insurance cost and fuel is way better in my single oh and it will run in the 70s what more do you need? how about room in the engine compartment I can sit down with my baby

[QUOTE=RUSSSR1]Besides the comfort of the get home motor, you guys forgot to mention the one thing that fires me up still to this day. The awsome felling that you get from having one motor running and having to fire up the second. How cool is that, listening to rumble of one and hitting the key on the second. I love it every time I start my boat

Wow I thought I was the only one who loved starting my boat
