You form a Montana LLC .
You register the boat in Montana .
Fun fact, Montana has no sales tax.
Fun Fact #2 Montana charges $500 for lifetime boat registration.
They`ll also register and plate the trailer .
If you need further protection you also do a Wyoming LLC.

Sorry Biden you can Go **** yourself , not getting my money so you can launder it thru Ukraine

That's all well and good untill water patrol gets to know your boat and marks it on the calendar to see when you get your (enter here) state registration. BTW, That is how the state pays for water patrol etc.....

For a time when we owned up there I would see WP float by the docks and check registrations and addresses to watch to see if the vessel was there longer than state law allows... They are chasing the tax $$s...

Just be careful if you leave your boat on the dock @ LOTO for 30+ days, that's when they start to take notice. Before we moved here full time, we had indoor storage when we were not at the lake, so it was only at the dock when we were here. Was never an issue.

I can guarantee they will get to know who's who by the boat. Side story and this was back a number of years ago, Barb used to drive boat to PB2 while I drove truck to meet her. I got there early one time and WP was loading one of their boats. Struck up a conversation and they asked which boat, told him and he asked " Your the ones that always where the Lifelines?" Yup.... So yes they do notice...
