Just got off the phone with Gordo. He said the event has been put on hold because of the fog. However, they were starting to crane the boats in.

LOL.......yes, Gordo tested in the snow. He said he had a blast.

Planning on starting around 10:00am CST, it is currently 16 degrees and visibility is poor but fog is lifting(what Nort might call burning off out there in So Cal).

16 degrees, how in the heck are they going to keep the sea strainers from freezing up. They must have to leave the boats running at the dock to keep from freezing the blocks( except for the closed cooling boats). Also do you guys think they have unhooked the water (bypassed) from the oil coolers? They will never get the oil warm enough without it. You can have all the cold air in the world going into those motors but if the oil is like molasas it won't make more hp. Too bad APBA and Sarasota are on the outs, this is retarded running an official Kilo world record attempt in those conditions. I mean the boat trying to break 200, I see why they are there too make more hp in the cold.

Tachyon,
Good luck to you and JC on Monday! We were planning to come over and watch the run, BUT as usual, work gets in the way, (I'll be @ Boeing, in St. Louis MO, on Monday Freezing my A$$ off!)
I told JC that I would call him Monday night to get results.
Take care,
MD
PS Did you go with JC, Pompi, and Ray to the show in Indy?
