PQ280 with drop bolsters.... I prefer to stand unless we are on a relatively long haul at cruise speed. Even when we had the Rinker, with its pedestal/swivel seat, I stood up 90% of the time. We took a sea trial in a Baja 25OL, and I immediately knew it was a non-starter when I couldn't stand and drive because of the placement of the seat. With the PQ, if I'm in any kind of traffic, rough water or gonna run hard, I drop the bolster and stand at the wheel.
Thanks. Brad. |
A boat designed to sit is much different than a stand up boat with bosters where you can sit. It`s not the same.I didn`t like sitting in my Baja .. wasn`t designed for it .

A lot of boats are going to the sit down configuration. I'm ditching the standup bolsters with drop out bottoms for sit down seats in my 24x7 Excalibur that I'm redoing.
