I am not Mr safety but this comment really is a good idea.

Just build six to 12 jackets into the price of your delivery It really is that simple. At wholesale pricing, you are talking about $ 125 to $150 per jacket. So eight jackets would barely reach $ 1,000—for $1 million boat.

Agreed. Getting people to wear them is a whole other thing. A wise man once told me unconscious people don't make good swimmers. I always wear a pfd when above idle speed. My personal choice and I don't take issue with people who don't.

sad but true... things have changed, so did top speed...
although I feel bad about all those laws constraining many powered sports
in the last 20-30 years, i can see and understand the need.
Insurance really are getting tougher and tougher to get
so a change is needed, otherwise, there won't be any poker runs in the near future...
So, it's up to us to choose what is going to be our futur like ... !!!

Stu’s been fighting this fight since the late 90’s. It’s like herding cats. You want to participate in his poker runs, you gotta abide by his rules. Plain and simple. You want the freedom to do what you want? Don’t run his poker runs. Pretty easy.

Stu isn't the only one pushing for everyone to wear PFDs while performance boating, I also tell anyone I see running around with no PFDs on that it is not a smart choice, and they should all be wearing them. After witnessing firsthand losing a young woman with 2 children that might have survived had she been wearing a PFD, I am also a strong advocate for all occupants in any performance boat to always be wearing them at speed. I've not once had anyone have an issue with me talking to them about it, and most times they agree and thank me for changing their minds about wearing them from then on.

In his Youtube videos, he always preached that every participant in his events had to wear PFDs, then constaltly showed areial footage of boats with no one wearing them. I had to unsuscribe from his channel as he was more fociused on perving the bikini models than safety.

Waves and Wheels does this currently! (Along with dock lines and fenders)

just about every single blow over could be prevented we have the electronic technology now and its cheap most street strip car guys use it. We look like fools in todays world where we can turn a rocket around 180 degrees at over 3000mph and land it soft as a feather back on earth ....we can build a carbon fiber cats strap huge outboards on them hit the trim wrong and blow it over with no device or control surface to prevent it......every year we have to watch a blowover coming into the harbor in key west often with tragic results as a sport and group we can do better! we don,t have to invent anything just apply some existing technology and wear your life jacket! sorry bout not correctly written just finished snow blowing....again.... we recieved over 6 feet of snow this week! shoveling roofs sucks!

After a few aggressive sessions of Hot Rodding at 80-90 in 2-5s out in Lake Michigan in Baronmarine Todd’s Topgun I was preparing to buy a Lifeline.
We always wore the ski vests but at the speeds we were running I had no confidence that they would have done any good .
Of all the expenses of owning even the smallest and simplest of offshore boats I don’t see why more don’t value the security of a proper racing jacket at hi speeds.
