Spoke to him about 2 months ago. Called the number on his website to order his book, which I received about 1 month ago. We talked for awhile, it was the first time I spoke to him, but he carried on like we were old friends. He seemed like a great guy. By the way, I love his book. A bunch of short stories about his time in the business. RIP Brownie

Never met the guy but his boating achievements and fun stories will be remembered by enthusiasts for generations.
His book takes pride of place on my small, but prestigious bookshelf.
R.I.P. “Brownie”.
