Thinking maybe spring pressure is compromised? I'm going to run it this season as is and have Wesco go through the motors in the Fall. I want to go boating. I'm not going to push the boat this season. It seems to run fine but power starts to fall short of normal around 4500 rpm. I'm not sure what's going on. I'd imagine the valve train is tired (300 hours on motors). Dave didn't want to get too specific until he tears into the motors because we don't know for sure.

Not on the helm but on the fuel rails to the carbs. I guess i could run the boat with the hatch open and observe the gauges.

Not a bad idea but I better start saving my nickels for the engine rebuilds. I’ll just old school it and raise the lid

I’ve have nothing but great respect for Dave. He was always there when I was having problems and helping me work the bugs out of my motors after I bought my boat. Finally after I had him rebuild both motors I could be on the water trouble free.
